The Whiteside County Truants’ Alternative Program assist all schools in
Whiteside County by providing services to reduce school absenteeism and truancy. The program has been funded for the past
23 years
through a grant from the Illinois State Board of Education. Funded at a level of $72,798 this year,
program staff worked with over 200 students and their families in an effort to
improve school attendance and prevent youth from dropping out of school.
